Tuckaway Animal Hospital posted on 10/1/2009
not impressed
We used Tuckaway for quite a while--our dog had regular visits but each time they acted like we had never been there--never knew our name or dog's name. when ready to move they told us to put our dog to sleep and not move her. We moved and realized how great a vet can be--the one we found at our new place knew our name by the second vist. Our dog lasted more than a year after we moved. Shame on you for suggesting we put her down. For the amount of money we spent there you would think they would remember who we were. No personal service at Tuckaway.

Rude people
Sad to say no matter what the value--if you are treated poorly that is what you remember. NUMEROUS times we have gone there and been treated terribly. We started complaining to management in hopes this can be corrected. I love the store but do not like the attitude you get from the employees.

WOW
First time eating Brazilian--my husband has been to Brazil and thought this was very authentic. It was a great experience. Price makes it a place for special occasions not every day. But the food was great--the flavor the service....

Great food
The sign on the table mentions--same food new staff--it gives me the idea things have changed recently. I read the other reviews and it was not smokey. The food was great and a lot of it. The service was also great--very friendly. We would definitely go back.

The experience I had with Cape Fear MedCtr was beyond words. I am almost 50 and walked in the ER with chest pains at 5:00 PM. It was midnight before I saw a doctor. When I did get back there to see a doctor they were going to run tests. I mentioned they did all these tests while I was waiting—they were unaware the tests were done. Why is someone with chest pains made to wait this long? Especially one my age!!! I was admitted for observation and further tests—I ended up with a heart cath. From our observation they were seeing patients in the order they came in. There was a gentleman with his face swollen and bleeding. I overheard them say they thought he may have fractures in his face—he sat there just as long. I know it is hard to tell why some people are there, but it did seem strange that people talking on their cell phones and eating were seen before that gentleman or me. Some of the staff was quite rude and unsympathetic—obviously they lost their bedside manner a long time ago. After being admitted my husband went to the office and explained that before 23 hours they have to get approval from our insurance or we have to pay an additional $500 out of pocket. They said they didn’t have to and never had a problem—of course they didn’t because they didn’t have to pay the additional expense.

Loving Place
We have an older dog that tends to be moody. On our first visit--Dr. Jenny was accepted by our dog. Our dog has never been afraid or uncomfortable as she has at other vets. The Dr. is very loving and takes the time to show affection to our dog. The staff is friendly and even when I have to pick up medicine without our dog they ask how she is doing.
